The most important thing in judo is learning how to fall right. Instinctivly most people will fall and put there arm down to stop them. If you do this in judo you can easily break your wrist. To do a standing backwards fall first squat then roll backwards down you back and slap the mat (tatami) with your whole arm. when you fall tuck your chin so you wont hit your head. when falling don't roll all the way back. to aviod going all the way back stick your legs straight up when slaping the mat.
